Data Protection Declaration

The online consultation is conducted by the Institut für Informationsmanagement Bremen GmbH (ifib) at the URL https://www.stateboard.de/tu-berlin.

1.1. General Access

Any time you access the internet service of https://www.stateboard.de/tu-berlin, for statistical purposes, the first two sections of your IP address will be stored locally at the University of Bremen’s Institute for Information Management Bremen (ifib). However, it is impossible to use this information to draw any conclusions about your identity.

Within the scope of providing this internet service, temporary cookies are used, but will not be stored on your computer. Nor do we use any other methods to trace the access behavior of users.

1.2. Registration and Collection of Personal Data

Comments can only be made and read by members of TU Berlin in possession of a valid TU Berlin email address. Your member status is verified through the email address you must enter when registering. It must end with “...TU-Berlin.de”.

If you wish to actively participate in the online commenting, you must register first. During the registration, you are required to enter your status group in addition to choosing a password and stating your email address. Your status group will be displayed next to your comments. Following your registration, you can leave as many comments as you like and also change your previously written comments. For this purpose, you must log in using your email address and password.

1.3. Storage, Access and Deletion

Personal data collected during the registration will only be stored for as long as is necessary in order to conduct the consultation. The comments will be evaluated and later discussed by the Academic Senate at the beginning of the winter semester of 2018/2019. At this point, changes to comments are no longer desired or possible. Email addresses will be used to invite participants in the consultation to the meeting of the Academic Senate at the beginning of the winter semester 2018/2019 where the results of the consultation will be discussed. Beyond this, the email addresses will be retained until the adoption of the University Strategy for 2018 to 2025 in order to enable readers to access the comments. Following the adoption of the University Strategy for 2018 to 2025, the registration data (email addresses and passwords) will be deleted.

The comments themselves will also remain available for registered users to read until the adoption of the University Strategy for 2018 to 2025. After this, the comments will be deleted too.

At all times during the consultation period, you may deregister and request the deletion of your personal data. In this case, your comments will be deleted too. To avoid misuse, you will receive a confirmation message by means of an email that contains a confirmation link.

1.4. Technical Data Protection

Within the scope of the contract between ifib GmbH and the service provider STRATO AG, all data is stored on the latter’s servers. Transmission is encrypted.

1.5. Inquiries

You have the right to receive information on the personal data stored about you and the purpose of the storage. You also have the right to have your data deleted.
